Excel Dynamic Chart Title Not Working

Hello Experts,

I have created a Power Pivot Chart and added a Chart Title label to the chart.

I then ensure the Chart Title box is selected, I go to the formula bar and type in the location of the formula to change the chart title dynamically when an option is selected.  The Chart Title remains and the new title is not accepted.

I don't know what is wrong and I really don't want to use a textbox to hold the title if I can avoid it.

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi InfoSec36,

Have you tried this link: How to add titles to Excel charts
In the Formula bar enter the address of the cell you want to use for the title. For instance, if the title is in cell A1 of the MySheet worksheet, you would enter the following in the formula bar:
=MySheet!$A$1

Hello Shums,

I had used the links to how to add titles to Excel charts and have followed the steps.  It still won't work.

Chart Title is selected and the formula is added to the formula bar, enter is pressed and nothing.

Thanks,

Try changing R4 formula to
=_xlfn.TEXTJOIN(" ",TRUE,IFERROR(CUBERANKEDMEMBER("ThisWorkbookDataModel",Slicer_MonthName,ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&CUBESETCOUNT(Slicer_MonthName)))),""))

Still no luck.
is R4 still showing #NAME?
your Named Formula Slicer_MonthName is empty
It is showing 'ALL' for all month selection or the name of the month selected.
I have attached a couple of screen prints showing the formula working.

It is difficult for me to find solution, as I use Excel 2010. All these functions of Excel 2016 doesn't work in my Worksheet.

I am sorry.
Which is good news.

If you formula is working, then Click on ChartTitle and in Formula Bar refer the cell R3 or R4 whichever you want starting with "="
I clicked on the chart title and then entered the formula in the formula bar and pressed enter to accept it.  The Chart Title did not change and the formula bar is empty.
Check another link which will help you referring cell value to Title How To Create Dynamic Chart Title In Excel
I have also raised the issue with the Microsoft Community.
Can you share the link?
Microsoft Community are still looking into it.
