Backup Raspberri Pi over the netowrk to a Windows Share

Is there a script available to backup a raspberry pi device over the network to a Windows share ? I know there is an a local SD backup method but these systems are 100 of miles away from my office

I need to start patching but if something goes wrong I need to know I can get the full working system back.

thanks

I think you would need to mount Samba on the Raspberry PI device so it can see Windows shares. I have done this with PC Linux but not with Raspberry Pi.

Why not back it up to a local system using the SD card?

smbclient is command line samba client. No mounts etc.

I would recommend cwrsync server on Windows and rsnapshot on PI (actually for power efficiency vice versa)
