Backup domain controller with Backup exec 2010

I am very new to backing up a domain controller and new to backup exec.  I have backup exec 2010 and would like to be able to back up the active directory.  If all four of my domain controllers get wiped I would like to be able to restore the active directory.  Can you help me with this?

Does backup exec 2010 work with VM's?  I was just reading the manual and one of the first paragraphs makes it sound like it does not unless I purchase another product.

"Intelligent Disaster Recovery Option
This option provides disaster recovery capabilities for
systems without having to reinstall the operating system.
Backup Exec System Recovery 2010 is sold separately
for faster and advanced system recovery capabilities.
These capabilities include dissimilar hardware recovery
support and recovery to a virtual environment such as
VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix Xen.

Thanks
Roccat - I forgot to mention one thing about AD backup.  There's also an option in BE to use "GRE" (Granular Recovery). This is another add-on option that you may or may not have.  If you do have it, you should definitely use it to back up AD.  It will allow you to recover individual items in AD (i.e., user accounts, etc.) rather than having to do a full AD recovery if you have a problem.
