Windows 7 slow login
HI,
What is the best way to ascertain why it takes one of my clients PCs 15 minutes to login.
The reboot time is normal I believe, it is the logging in of the user.
It is a domain PC, other users are not experiencing this.
Thanks
Gareth

Apologies for slow response, I have managed to get on the client machine now and will get back to you shortly.
On my machine it was a corrupted profile. We had to create a new profile and copy the files from the old one to the new one to solve the problem.

start
run
ipconfig /all
Note what you get for the DNS Servers. It should only point to your Domain Controller.
Pointing it elsewhere (e.g. router, ISP) can be a cause of the symptom you describe.
