RAM memory configuration for a new Dell 5810 workstation

This is about memory configuration for a new Dell Precision Workstation 5810 computer.
http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/precision-t5810-workstation/pd?ref=PD_OC

The 5810 has eight DIMM slots with four-channel memory. It uses RDIMM 2400 MHz ECC RAM. I plan to use 64GB RAM as 4 x 16GB modules. In the past I've used Kingston and PNY memory. I'm open to other brands if you recommend them.

Kingston memory is cheaper purchased from Kingston than from Dell so I am contemplating ordering the PC with 16GB RAM (4 x 4GB) and then ordering 64GB separately from Kingston or NewEgg.

Attached is the single page from Dell's online user manual for the 5810 with information about equipping the slots. I find it a bit confusing. My questions:

* Is Kingston a good brand to use? Do you recommend something different?

* With a single CPU can I use all eight DIMM slots or can I only use four slots?

* If I can use all eight does it make sense to put the 16GB modules in the first four DIMMs and the 4GB modules I get from Dell in slots 5-8?

Thanks,
Pete

John - many thanks for your advice and experience.

So to confirm it seems I will only be able to use four of the slots and I will not even be able to use the 4x4GB DIMMs I get from Dell? (That's fine - just checking.)

Pete
You can use all or some of the slots.

I forgot that you would get the Dell memory, so you should be able to use 4 x 16 GB Kingston, and then the remaining 4 x 4 GB from Dell. I have done similar with Lenovo Desktops and it should work. Always review the Hardware Maintenance Manual
