how to see all occupied ports on windows 10 laptop. whenever i install tomcat etc servers not starting giving errors like ports are already in use no matter which number i give. please advis

i clicked netstat
i do not see anything at 8080 port.

It is a command line tool as I said. Don't click on it. Run it from the command line. And include the flags you want

But, before you can use the port you want, you need to add an exception in Windows Firewall for incoming and outgoing connection for that port.

As i've said in your other question (which is essentially the same), the balance of probabilities says that Tomcat is already running. A quick and dirty solution would be to simply kill all Java processes. Then start the Tomcat you want

if i restart the laptop will it kill all java processess?
