Couldn't join Lync meeting - Security certificate isnt trusted

Hi Experts,

When users in one of our domain creates a Lync meeting and then clicking on the meeting link (i.e. the join the meeting link that’s created in the email) encounters a certificate related issue message saying "We couldn't join you to the meeting because the security certificate isnt trusted....." as per the attached screenshot. All our other domains do not appear to be encountering this issue.

We use our own internal Lync servers.

The issue is re-producible with other users in the affected domain. All users use Windows 10 client computers. Reviewing the public certificates used by Lync on our servers they appear to be valid (although i didn’t set them up and not that familiar with the certificates so perhaps I am not looking in the right place). Any suggestions on what I should check please?, any ideas what may be causing this issue?

Thanks

Thanks for your feedback. Yes this issue is happening when the users are connected to the internal LAN.
We have a number of Lync front end servers - so perhaps it is one of these that is causing the issue.

Its just the one domain in which the issue is seen - all other domains works fine, all domain are part of the same trusted Forrest.

We seem to be using public certificates (sourced from go daddy) and they all appear to be valid. Maybe as you suggest on the affected domain the relevant certificate is not installed onto the client computers - is there a tool you would suggest checking to verify this?
Ill try to find out further information
from an affected client
see what URL it is pointing to
try to open that URL in Internet Explorer - look at certificate in the error - open it and look at Certification PATH. if this isn't ok - -do the same from a client that's working and compare
Ok, I got an affected user to create a Lync meeting and sending the invite to me. I am in a domain not affected by the issue.

I copied the URL into Internet explorer and I get the following message: "Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate. For more information, see “About Certificate Errors” in Internet Explorer Help"

The certificate doesn't seem to get flagged as being bad and look ok. Ill next aim to review on an affected clients computer
thanks for your help with this
