a user has his primary smtp as user1 @domain-hq.com(primary smtp address) but also has secondary email address as @domain-retail.com
both shows in his email address tab when I open his mailbox properties.
but for some reason he wants any email sent to his primary smtp i.e domain-hq.com to go to like a copy of email message to go to domain-retail.com, how should I do
should I create separate mailbox or anything else
we have exchange 2007

This is a secondary address on the same mailbox? If that is the case, there is nowhere else for the mail to go, all messages to both addresses will go to the same mailbox.
I don't seem to be able to edit my answer at the moment, but I just wanted to add something. If the user wants to be able to identify which emails were sent to his secondary address, it can still be done with a rule in outlook the looks in the message header for the secondary address.
