Convert a Panasonic N3R file to avi
Greetings Experts,
I am trying to export a .n3r file from my Panasonic cameras to some sort of video that can be viewed by windows media player. So .avi or MP4.
does anyone know of a way I can do this without playing the entire video on Panasonic's video disk viewer and then recording it with streaming software? Like CamViewer? This same question was asked in 2011, and Camviewer was the solution. Let me know if anyone knows of any programs that will convert the video.
Thanks,
Kacey

The camera's are hooked up to a DVR. You view the output via an IP. When you export content it comes in the .N3R format, which only the Panasonic video disk viewer can play. It is a terrible system, can't believe they export to a proprietary format like this.

Both Experts confirmed the answer. Thank you.
Is the disc a mini disc that can be finalised in the Panasonic?
Taken out of the Panasonic then inserted into the dvd rom on your PC?
All DVD rom on a PC have a smaller inner ring for mini discs, that was how I transferred from old Panasonic back a few years now.
Then you rip that DVD.
Let me know.
