Database Portability Exchange 2013
Hello Experts
I have a customer who has Exchange 2013 sitting on a server that is having a Problem . I want to use database portability to migrate to another server. But i see a lot of guides on this feature . Can you direct to a procedure that is well documented for this process: Database portability with Exchange 2013

You must have the required permissions for this.
Database portability can be used to move mailbox database between Exchange 2013 of same network/forest. For information about how to perform a database recovery using the database portability feature, check this article https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd876926(v=exchg.150).aspx
You can also use PowerShell to move mailboxes from one database to another in Exchange 2013. See how: http://www.askme4tech.com/how-use-powershell-migrate-mailboxes-one-database-another-exchange-2013
You can simply assign old License key to new Exchange server and activate it. If it doesn't work you can contact to Microsoft Customer Service to confirm.
Hope this helps!
