tricky if formula

Hi Experts using excel 2010

i have the folllowing formula which i cannot get to work....

if H4 has a date then G4 is blank (irrespective of the fact that G4 has a formula in it) and if H4 is blank (but has a formula in the cell) then G4..

=IF(H4="",IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP($A4,'Data Entry'!$B$6:$EA$863,75,0)),"",(VLOOKUP($A4,'Data Entry'!$B$6:$EA$863,75,0))),IF(H4<>"","",IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP($A4,'Data Entry'!$B$6:$EA$863,75,0)),"",(VLOOKUP($A4,'Data Entry'!$B$6:$EA$863,75,0)))))

Shorter option:

=IF(H4<>"","",IFERROR(VLOOKUP($A4,'Data Entry'!$B$6:$EA$863,75,0),""))
