How do I stop a PC from shutting down

How do I stop a PC from shutting down.
Windows 7 64bit - OS
HP SFF DC8000

I am experimenting with CCTV and when I set all the power settings on the PC to "never" shutdown.
It still shuts down after a period of inactivity.

Are there any scheduled tasks that cause the PC to shutdown? Check in Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Task Scheduler - Task Scheduler Library. Other option: BIOS can have settings where the PC turns on automatically and shuts down automatically. Disable that setting if you have it.

HI,

Have set all the power and hibernation to "never".
Cannot see any tasks set to run.
And BIOS - settings indicate that it is disabled.

Thanks for the input. Will go back and check...again to make sure.
Check temperatures.  Had a client with similar question recently and after having them check all power settings, it turned out that only when the system was working hard did it shut down.  This lead us to watch the temperatures and sure enough, the CPU fan was not spinning up to full speed and was overheating.
Check the event log if you have any events just prior to the shutdown happening. That may give you a hint to what's causing it.

After a bit of detective work - we established that Group Policy had been in place for previous PC's - which all but a few had been retired.
In up-cycling these PC's they had fallen foul to this policy.
Thanks to all for assistance.
