Printer from iMac not available in Citrix session

Hi there,
colleague's using an iMac (OS Sierra 10.12) with a local Epson printer connected. He doesn't see his printer within a Citrix session (Receiver 12.3.0) , so we tried to install the appropriate Epson printer (for Windows) on the Citrix servers. But even if it's the same model name, the printer doesn't appear within the Citrix session. We then installed something called 'Epson Universal Print Driver' (following a suggestion), and an 'Epson Universal Printer' is obviously available, but choosing it won't print. Printer in question is Epson WF-3640.

Almost all other clients are Windows, and for Windows, it works by installing the corresponding printer driver, and when opening a session, the client is able to print (auto-created printers or printers created by GPO).

I didn't find any description what to do exactly on a Windows Citrix server to serve a iMac client regarding local printing. What driver has to be used on server, what has to be done additionally etc.

Can anyone help or just suggest some docs?

TIA

Dirk,
thanks for that hint. I tried to install the driver as described and now we'll wait for the colleague to test. Am I right to assume that it's not the printer driver (HP Color LaserJet 2800 Series PS)  that is needed but rather the postscript part of that driver? Just to understand it technically :)

Does the Epson Universal Driver need to be kept on the server or is it completely useless for our scenario and can be deleted?

I'll be back soon with results.

TIA

Dirk,
after I installed the driver, I got the same warnings in event log as before. Unfortunately the entire event log is in german, so I'll try to translate the message:

Error during automatic creation of client printers. The driver can't be installed. Possible causes for the error are:
Driver is not contained within the list of drivers on the server.
Driver cannot be found.
Driver hasn't been assigned.
Clientname: (Name_Of_Client) Printer: (EPSON WF-3640 Series (from Name_Of_Client) in session 7) Printer driver: (UnknownOrBadDriver)

Source: MetaFrameEvents
Event ID: 1106

Can you read something from this warning that could be wrong? The driver I installed before is 'HP Color LaserJet 2800 Series PS', Windows x64, version 6.1.7233.0. There are also drivers available for x86 and Itanium, but I guess those wouldn't be the right ones.

TIA

Dirk,
a few minutes ago I got feedback that your solution works! So please ignore the last comment about warning - finally restarting solved it. Hope this will be permanent :)

Thanks for all your help.

Great solution! Thanks!
Hallo Michael,
