Surface Pro 4 Cameras
Have Surface Pro 4 Windows 10 Pro which has been added to a domain. When a normal user tries to access the cameras it doesn't work. It keeps stating 'the camera cannot be accessed using the built in administrator account, please sign in with a different account to open the camera'.
Does that user have to be added to the administrators account on the Surface Pro 4 in order to access the cameras and does this have to be done for each person logging into the Surface Pro 4 ?
Thanks :)

preciesly the opposite. you are logging in with the administrator account or a renamed administrator account. Use an account other than the local administrator account.

The user logging in is not an administrator. The user is just a normal user on a Windows domain.

I don't have the Surface Pro with me but as far as I'm aware UAC was not turned off, but can speak with the user. Will the user still be able to access UAC when they are logged in or does an administrator have to change it ? The 3rd option says "Notify me only when apps try to make changes to my computer (default)" and "Don't notify me when I try to make changes to Windows settings ". Is this the correct setting ? Thanks

It worked :)
Great! Sorry I missed your previous comment, but to answer you want the one that notifies you. If you don't get the yes/no prompt, it seems to default to "no" and some things just won't open.
As for WHY this happens, in case you were wondering, I think it has something to do with the biometric security options that can utilize the camera. Windows 10 keeps the admin account super locked down.
