WordPress Madness
I have a site, quality-irrigation.com
I have built a careers contact page. But it is IMPOSSIBLE to change the image at the top of the page.
I tried to see how this was done for another page.
Please look at https://quality-irrigation.com/contact/. Note the wide image across the top.
See the attached for the design of this page. This is in several pieces as it is too big to do a single screen capture.
Note the following:
(1) The image on the top of the page is NOT in the media library for this site.
(2) The featured image is NOT pictured on the page.
(3) From other questions, been led to believe it may be a "slider" image; the site uses Revolution slider. But on the bottom part of the page design, it shows Revolution Slider Options, choose slide template, and Default is in the pulldown. There are no other options in the pulldow.
The theme is Quality from UDESIGN.
Any ideas as to the magic that makes that image appear at the top?

I'm not sure what you are talking about. The image with the cell phone is a background image that is part of the theme. In Firefox, right click on it and choose 'View Background Image' and you can see the path to locate the image.

the theme you are using is from
here: https://themeforest.net/item/udesign-responsive-wordpress-theme/253220
you should be able to get the documentation or raise a support ticket on how to change the header image on the pages.
these paid for themes usually allow you to change header images on the pages without delving into the code. i.e.
some themes use the image manager to control what page the image is "attached to".
maybe check the image manager find the image in the contact page?

ahh... actually from the screen shots you can see on the right hand side the contact page has chosen template 3. Perhaps the previous developer created more template files with hard coded background images. so you would need to create new template file and new css styles for that new template to use a new image.
so the comments above and on your previous question probably still stand.
I notice you also have a cache plugin so while developing disable the cache

Julian,
How do I determine the page-ID of a page? How did you know the contact page was page-id-15?
Thanks

Thank you Richard but I am trying to catch up to some of the real WP experts - and as always you are most welcome.

You are the only one that got this.
WordPress is such an enigma; so simple for basic things, horribly complex (I had NO idea where to look) on things like this. I have been doing custom web development since 1996.
