Getting a warning when attempt to setup mail flow>forwarding in the O365 portal.
I am trying to set mail forwarding in the O365 portal but I got the attached warning. I am not sure if another administrator has already setup forwarding somewhere but I do not see it.
How do I check?

I would validate with the admin, the link above should give you a lot of info on what to look for.
It is quite likely that could be the case but you should be able to look at the type of forwarding configured and determine if it delivers and forwards or simply forwards.

forwardingSMTPAddress is what the client-based features do, forwardingAddress is admin-only. Microsoft recently started a campaign to "educate" people to only use the former. I've blogged about this here: http://blog.enowsoftware.com/solutions-engine/simplified-forwarding-settings-in-office-365

Do you think the forwarding rule was setup in powershell?
How come mailflow>forwarding in the portal is showing blank?
