POP3 connectivity issues (SSL related perhaps?)
Trying to troubleshoot a POP3 connectivity issue. When running the test connectivity tool, it looks like 110 and 995 are able to knock on the servers door, but then get timed out or dropped with the following error:
The certificate couldn't be validated because SSL negotiation wasn't successful. This could have occurred as a result of a network error or because of a problem with the certificate installation.
This is an Exchange 2007 server that recently had the SSL Cert renewed. All other mail flow works fine, its just POP3 that's having trouble. I verified that the POP service was enabled on the new cert.
When trying "telnet hostname 995" remotely I don't get a banner at all, whereas I do when I do "telnet localhost 995" on the server itself.
Any ideas on what else I could try?

Sounds like the POP3 clients are still expecting the old certificate. See if there's an option to clear the stored certificates.
Did you try any of the suggestions above?
