Outlook 2010 error
Hi Experts,
Moved a client over to O365 and had to create a new profile for user. He also uses Outlook for an Earthlink account which was also setup (POP). He is able to send emails from Earthlink's webmail and setup on phone to all mailboxes in and out of domain. However when sending by Outlook to the company account that was migrated to Office 365 he gets the following error - "your message does not conform to rfc2822 standard". Not sure what this means. Any ideas on how to address?
TIA

Outlook 2010 is fairly old. Do you have the correct sending port (587 or 465 TLS) and proper authentication (sending server credentials).

Thanks John. Yes I do Port 587 is being used and I have set that up

If it helps the error above comes from System Administrator which seems to be local Outlook.
Check to make sure TLS is OK to use. Some Exchange installations still need SSL. I think Microsoft Office 365 should be OK with TLS.
Local System Admin return means the address sending to is not legitimate to the server here. I had that with a member here and we had to use a different email address. Try a different email address.
Yes the System Admin error does change how we resolve this.

He is able to email me from his POP account and my email is on O365. Also he is able to email a few people from the organization in question without issues but some emails are giving this error for e.g. if he emails abc@companyino365.com from his POP account then he gets the error but if he emails def@companyinfo365.com then it goes through

The confusing part is he does not get an error when he uses POP email setup on his phone or your using Earthlink webmail and he can send without errors to O365 account
@abhijitm00 - Did you call in an Exchange Consultant? It is not an Outlook issue.

No I have not heard from anyone
