nobus, Which one?
I've used Handbrake for ages. It's a well known free and open source product.
As for the Free DVD Video Converter I did the download and ran Windows Defender over it and Defender was happy with it.

Thanks guys...
Tom MBAM blocked it as a PUP...although it is probably a valid program the crap found on their website - Slimware Utilities (sb SLIMEware!) and DriverUpdate I would never send a client there.
dbrunton and nobos I have tried Handbrake in the past...just tried it again now and continue to get an error message "You must first scan a source and setup your job before starting an encode." even though I have scanned it. I just updated it and now get this message - "No valid source or titles found."
I appreciate your assistance.

Can you view the movie on the DVD using VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html ?
If you can then I think it is possible to use VLC to stream the movie to disk.

I was able to play a movie using VLC...trying to convert now.
OK, please let us know how it goes. I've always been able to use Handbrake and haven't had to try/use VLC.

Handbrake wouldn't recognize a Movie DVD...I do own the movie...as I showed above the message I received.
I tried using VLC...it seemed to copy it but I'm not sure if I stopped it (it was taking hours) too soon. The file was on the flash drive but wouldn't play. dbrunton do you have instructions on how to convert a DVD using VLC to a flash drive? Thanks!!

I'll get back to you in 24 hours. Slightly busy at present.
Here in attachment you can find DVD converter. Change extension from accdb to exe and you can install it.
It will ask you if you want to download newer version, you can but You don't have to.

This accdb file I uploaded for you to Expert-Exchange server.
It must be something wrong with your AV settings.
Do not install additional software.
Since installer is from free website then free software are attached, You can simply uncheck this software from installation steps

Tom I understand what you are asking me to do. For me to do it is one thing, but for clients??? Especially when they don't have access to the EE server. The message that I get when I download your file (adding the .exe extension is "This publisher has been blocked from running software on your machine". I have never gotten that message before...how do I do that?
ASKER
Thanks dbrunton...I will give it a try asap.

Questioner has not returned.
The method as shown above does work for me. However because it seems that the user has a DRM or similar type of DVD can't guarantee that it would work for them, hence the B grade. Note user was not interested in other methods as suggested.

Thanks dbrunton, I apologize about being inattentive. Thanks for closing the case as it has gone on my back burner. I will try your solution asap but probably more work than my client would want to perform.
