SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online migration: (links)
I understand that SharePoint migration tools from 3rd parties can rewrite all links found WITHIN SharePoint on-premises so they reflect the new URL in SharePoint Online.
However, what about all the links that users emailed to each other?
When a user clicks those links, could I perhaps use an F5 to rewrite those links from (for example),
FROM: http(s)://contoso.com/some site/link. html
TO: http(s)://contoso.sharepoi nt.com/som esite/link .html
In a large scale migration with complex applications to migrate, I recognize this probably would not be a perfect solution.
My question is: Have you used this as a solution for large enterprise migrations? Do you recommend this method or perhaps a different solution?
Thank you.
