Windows 2012 r2 domain controler

We have currently domain controler (AD/DNS) on windows server 2008 r2 which hosting 60 clients & 20 servers and now we have new VM environment which will be on windows server 2012 r2 please help in clarifying below.
1 VM hardware requirements for domain controler.
2 how to move all the services to new domain controler
3 how many VMs to creat and us it recommended to keep at least one physical server as DC

You can convert physical server to virtual using disk2vhd for Hyper-V
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/ee656415.aspx

For regular server you should calculate minimum 4GB RAM per virtual machine
If you planning convert Exchange server you should reserve minimum 8GB RAM or more
If you planning convert SQL, (which is not recommended) you need to have 24GB  or more depends how many databases you have and what big they are.
VM hardware can be standard for regular Dell Server with a lot of RAM and big Storage, or network attached Sand Box.
In this scenario I would recommend creating 2 Virtual Host server with load balancing connected to one Sandbox.

If there is going to be a lot of Virtual machines on one host you need a really big storage or Sandbox and Raid10 is recommended
Also you need to think about licenses. W2012R2 standard allow only 2 virtual machine to be running on Host, so probably you going to need Datacenter Edition.
Here is some explanation

ASKER

Thank you for quick replay we do have the data center windows licenses our current AD is on 2008 r8 and we are moving to 2012r2
Don't move DC on Hyper-V host if you have that much virtual machines.
It's a lot of better if you create separate DC on Windows 2012R2 standard.
You can create a second DC using Windows 2012R2 Datacenter Hyper-V-Host, or create separate virtual machine for this purpose later
How to make 2012 r2 as additional for the existing 2008 r2 one

I disagree with Tom.

1. If your host servers are NOT domain joined you there's no point in keeping a physical DC.  Even if they are, Microsoft enhanced 2012 so that you you no longer need DCs to be physical even in a virtual environment.

2. Do NOT use Disk2 VHD for P2V conversion.  It's a half baked P2V tool that was NEVER INTENDED to be a P2V tool.  Use the Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn873998%28v=ws.11%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

3. You should probably read my articles on Virtual or Physical. https://www.experts-exchange.com/articles/27799/Virtual-or-Physical.html and you might want to check out my article on sharing services - https://www.experts-exchange.com/articles/28694/Servers-Sharing-Services.html?searchSuccess=true&searchTop10=true
