Cool edit Pro

I have finally managed to get my Cool Edit pro up and working on Windows 10. I am downloading directly from a recording desk via a USB interface. All the settings are the same as on my other computer and the device setting box on the program is recognising the USB device. But nothing is being recorded. Any ideas?

Is the "other computer windows 7" by any chance?
Do you now use a desktop or laptop?
I'm not clear what you're doing >. I am downloading directly from a recording desk via a USB interface.
But nothing is being recorded.

Is this recording audio? via a USB Mic?
Have you setup the mic?
For speakers
Have you checked the stereomix is enabled?
Open your  /playback >recording tab, rightclick the speaker on the taskbar and open recording tab> do you see Stereomix enabled, if not rightclick and show disabled devices then make stereomix default ok and close it., stereomix is used to record sound (what you hear in your speakers)
Are you using a mic? does that appear in the recording tab?
Here is a manual but which version you have I dont know hopefully this covers it.
