SSL certificate is expired on Windows 2012 server and How to generate a CSR
Hi
We have RDP server installed on windows 2012 on our network and using a link similar as shown below we access our RDP server.
https://desktop.parkview.wales.sch.uk
The SSL certificate is now expired and I need to generate a CSR to procure the SSL certificate.
I have two queries.
I opened server manager-Tools – IIS and I clicked my RDP server that is on the left hand pane.
On the right hand pane I clicked Server Certificates
Firstly : On the attached snapshot in the Server certificate windows. Do I need to click “desktop.parkview” and click create certificate request ? OR just click “Create Certificate Request”.
Secondly see our Active directory snapshot and our domain is called Domain.Local
Will the common name be “Domain.Local or desktop.parkview.wales.sch .uk
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance
