Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory - Add custom attribute to ADUC user's properties
We are running Windows 2008 R2 server for PDC. 2008 for forest/domain functional levels.
Request has been made to use the employeeID attribute to integrate with our new workflow program. We haven't used the employeeID attribute yet, so the field is currently <not set> for the users.
We would like to use the employeeID attribute and display on one of the tabs for our users. I know the employeeID attribute can be found on the Attribute Editor tab for the user. I'm assuming this is where we would need to put in the ID value for each employee. Or bulk import the ID(s).
I would like to know if we can actually display this attribute on another tab (for example the Organization Tab) to have the ability to manage this field in the properties dialog box instead of the Attribute Editor Tab.
Thank you,
