Cisco WLAN 5520 licensing
I have question on how licensing works for cisco wlan 5520 controller. I have part# EDU-CT5520-50-K9 (Cisco 5520 Wireless Controller supporting 50 APs K12 upto K16) what this means?
You have US educational licensing for K12 schools. The WLC can host upto 50 APs.
The EDU indicates that this license is for education and the K12 upto K16 would indicate for a 4 year college. It allows up to 50 Access Points (AP) to connect to the 5520 controller.

Does this mean that comes with physical wlan 5520 controller(unit) with 50 AP licensing?

Also in addition to my above comment, I also see LIC-CT5520-1A (Cisco 5520 Wireless Controller 1 AP Adder License), what that means?
The LIC-CT5520-1A (Cisco 5520 Wireless Controller 1 AP Adder License) is for an additional AP bringing the total to 51. The 5520 WLC can have up to 1,500 AP's. When you purchase a CT5520 you get a license for the device, AIR-CT5520-K9, and the initial 50 AP license, EDU-CT5520-50-K9. Then you purchase additional licenses one at a time but it requires an upgrade license, LIC-CT5520-UPG, to use "adder" licenses.

Just to make myself clear, EDU-CT5520-50-K9 means buying the actual controller device?
"Just to make myself clear, EDU-CT5520-50-K9 means buying the actual controller device? "
No - This is just a license to connect 50 AP's to the device. This license does come with the CT5520 when it is purchased but is not the actual physical device license. That is AIR-CT5520-K9
Please refer to Cisco site: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/wireless/5520-wireless-controller/index.html

Yes, that SKU includes a 5520 WLC with 50 AP licenses preinstalled.
