No internet from wall drop. ipconfig shows no dns servers or gateway. Internet exists when directly connect switch. Suggestions?

Wifi may be set to manual in the properties check there first and set it to auto
It seems like your DHCP server is not providing the information necessary to pick the settings to connect to the internet.
Can you try connecting another machine to the cable and see if it works? If that doesn't work either, you shall have to check the DHCP configuration, or connectivity problem between your cable end and the router.

The wifi works. I'm on my laptop that does not have an ethernet port. I'm using a usb ethernet adapator on the specific drop that is causing this issue. I was not clear on this.

@guvinder I've tried different cables, and machines. Each work individually on different drops and connections, same with the cables. I connected my laptop to this specific drop. DHCP seems fine, there is enough IP addresses to be assigned. I suspect there something some wrong with the connection between the drop to the patch panel that is not causing it to work correctly.

Going to have the cabling people come and redo the drops in that room since one of them do not work at all. Thanks for the help
