Optimal hardware components to upgrade desktop PC

Hello,

I plan to upgrade several major hardware components in my desktop PC. The items listed below have been recommended and I would like to get some hardware-expert feedback regarding performance and compatibility of the items individually and as a group.

Also, should any other hardware (or software) be upgraded at the same time to maximize the performance of the listed items?

Thanks

Thanks for the response.

If you want fast go with either a Samsung Pro 950 (or 960).

Hmm, that's a pretty big price jump.

What about this:

Samsung 960 EVO Series - 1TB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V6E1T0BW)

Thanks for the responses.

FYI, the current video card was newer than the other components.

Also, the upgrade was completed a few days ago and despite having the same monitor & video card as before, the image is even better than it was. I don't understand that but I have been told it's not surprising.
