BranchChache for Network Files or DFS for Network shares with changing data?
I have a question, which would be better suited to keep a current updated copy of a document at a location? we have some file shares, which we need accessible with relative ease at our remote locations, we are currently using DFS for profiles which after working flawlessly for over a year is starting to show problems for no reason other than high latency on the line, every test says its fine but now profiles won't sync properly. Now we want to have files accessible locally so we don't have problems saving and syncing to all location.
Which would be better to implement and what would the pros an cons be? or is there a better solution?
if I am reading right BranchCache is for non changing files and does not sync back to the main server.
