Set up secondary Domain Controller
Can anyone point me to a good step-by-guide on setting up a secondary domain controller for Active Directory? We only have one DC currently and would like to add some redundancy. I understand the second DC could be set up as read-only.
After you set everything, go to your domain.local (doomain.com) properties and check if in Name Server tab you have both DNS servers listed
then go to Zone Transfer and make sure you have second server listed in firs server properties and vice versa :)

Just join second computer to domain, after restart log on as domain admin and install DC feature
Wizard will ask you if you want to join as DC to same forest and will help setup DC synchronizations.
All you need to do is manually setup DNS addresses on IP4 property for primary and secondary controller on both servers
And this is it.
