Ghosting a bootable 500GB Drive to a 2TB Solid State Hybrid Drive(SSHD)

Hi Guys,

I have been using an old Windows 7 white-box PC with a 500GB Hard Drive.
As the drive is getting Full, I am planning to replace the drive with a 2TB drive and possibly a solid state seagate hybrid drive - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IEKG2HM

Now the questions I have is -

1. Will a solid state hybrid drive work in my scenario?? I understand that the bootable partition in SSHD drives is like 8TB which makes boots faster but how do I image drive such that the new drive is bootable. I do not want to start from scratch with new drives as it is too much work and finding the motherboard drivers etc. is no easy job for this white-box which I inherited. Plus the PC is loaded with lots of software which will now take me hours to track down.

2. What software can you recommend for this purpose?? I would prefer a free software as I only intend to use this one time only.

3. Please tell me exact process of how I ghost the drive and replace it with this new drive?

4. If SSHD is not an option then pls recommend what should I do?

If the drive will work in your machine (be sure of that) then Ghost, Acronis or like product can happily clone your system to work on a larger drive in the same computer. Should not be an issue.

@garycase: Where do you see SSD 1TB for $250 or less.. I see them in the 400-500 range
The Crucial MX300's are under $300, and are often on sale for ~ $250.

Currently $279.99 at Newegg:  https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820156152

The SanDisk 960GB units (not quite 1TB, but certainly close) are currently $254.99 at Newegg:   https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIACVB57Z0307

... I've seen "no name" units for under $200, but don't recommend them.
i recommend the free Paragon soft; fast, and very easy to use : http://www.paragon-software.com/home/br-free/download.html
dee the screenshots on  their site, for how it works
Manav08, cloning the system to a pure SSD drive and cloning it to a hybrid drive is normally not the same.
If you install OS new onto it you can get the full advantage of the drive.
Or get yourself a 500GB SSD drive and move the system to it. The old 500GB drive can be used as data drive then.

Thanks everyone. I have just ordered the SSHD hard-drive. I will then test the softwares you have proposed and give my response. Pls wait 1 week for me to close the question. Cheers.

Thanks guys.
I am sure a lot of solutions would have worked but we went with AOMEI here and it worked well.
Imaged disk and there was no need to re-activate windows, office software or any other software installed on disk. Worked like magic!!

Thanks Tom for your recommendation
