deduplicating based on criteria

Hello! I have a table of data in Access 2010, let's call it Table1. I have ColumnA that has various different duplicate values throughout the table. I want to delete all but one of the records with these duplicate values, and I want to do it based off ColumnB. Basically I want to say delete all records that are duplicates in ColumnA leaving the one record left that has the highest value in ColumnB. So let's say I have three records that all have the same value in ColumnA. ColumnB will have various values. I want to delete all these records except for the one that has the highest ColumnB value. Can anyone tell me how this might look?
