Ping configured interface on Sonicwall
It seems that I can't ping a configured physical interface and VLAN interface on my Sonicwall. However, ping has already been enabled on this interface. Any idea ?
Thx

Try rebooting the firewall.
you mean ping the interface from the VLAN or from the LAN?
By default you can not ping from a laptop connected to X0 the X or X4:V5 interfaces. Especially if they are in a different zone.
Say you haeve an X2 in DMZ, you can ping the X2 form pc's on the X2 network, but not the X0
UNLESS you go into the firewall rules, LAN to DMZ rule and add a rule
service ping , src any, destination X2 IP.

@J Sppor - He is doing this from the system (the firewall) under the diagnostic page.
Thanx, I overlooked the images.
I don't believe you can ping the SonicWall from itself. Why are you trying to do so? The SonicWall's ping tool is a bit unusual. Especially when trying to ping across VPNs or when trying to ping the SonicWall itself.
Try from a computer on the LAN, and see my previous comment regarding that.

No problem! You can ping interfaces and sub-interfaces from the SonicWALL ping tool...it is used to eliminate probable causes by isolating the interfaces.
Did you try to do it from the LAN as I suggested?
can you include a screenshot of your routing table as well please.
If there's routes with address objects, please include the ip details of these objects.

reboot but still get the same problem.
A client 10.0.99.65 can ping the Sonicwall VLANinterface 10.0.99.1.
However, it is under Sonicwall Diagnostic page that the ping test fail on 10.0.99.1

Glad I could help...thanks for the points!
This is an odd one. Even if you shut down the physical port administratively it will still respond from a ping within the diagnostic page. Check Access Rules and make sure the automated addition of rules exists to allow Ping: WLAN>WLAN, ping, any, all.
Let me know how it goes!
