Outlook 2013 Indexing problems

I've one computer that running Outlook 2013, index status is telling me it's complete and has indexed 47000 outlook items. However after testing it's clear that it isn't working as it doesn't display all the entries.

So far I've
Rebuild the index
Moved index to a different location
Restarted the Windows search service

I get the same results if I search via OWA

Any suggestions would be great

Thanks
Ian.

Make sure your mailbox database content index is in healthy state.
simply running Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus -server "servername" | ft name, status, contentindexstate
If CI is fine, then all well.
Go to your outlook File -> Options -> Search -> Indexing options -> advanced -> Filetypes, scroll down till "msg", then click on the msg check whether it is checked.
If still you are facing the issue, close the outlook , rename the ost file and open Outlook again. Because WDS(windows desktop search ) index is stored in OST files when you configured outlook in cached mode.

Thanks

Article mentioned "the content index is stored in a folder named for the GUID of the database." Would this be the location? It looks correct

yes, this the path, did you try with update-mailboxdatabasecopy with 'catalogonly' parameter?
No our box isn't part of a DAG - the article directed me to a different link.

If you have no further comments I am happy to close this case and award you the points I can take it from.
