ThinkServer TS440 No RAID Volumes
I have a Lenovo ThinkServer TS440 with Intel RSTe. - 4 drive HS.
It was setup in early Jan/2017 as 3 drive raid5 with the 4th drive set as hot spare.
The drives are Samsung SM-863 (120GB).
BIAO FBKT99AUS (9/19/2014)
Yesterday the server went off-line and after powering up - the raid in the bios showed:
RAID Volume: None Defined
All 4 drives are listed but are showing as "Offline Member".
Before I reset the volume and start restoring from the external backup, I wanted to check if anyone would have any advice for a different approach. I don't want to blow off the data that may still be on the disks if there is a way to get the volume back.
I am also concerned the there is an issue with the on-board raid since there was a drive fail about 8 months ago and after that the Intel RSTe console would not let me add a new drive as HS. Which is why the new drives were installed a couple of weeks ago.
Any advice appreciated.
