Hi Andrew, Thank you so much for your response. Yes, I created hostname when I first installed ESXi server. When I ping hostname it doesn't response, it comes up with &quot;request timed out&quot;. &nbsp;as I am at starting point I also do not have DNS server. I just put DNS name in ESXi server and hoping to access from web console in same network. is there anything I am missing?<br />

Hi,

I have setup a new home lab and I am able to access ESXi host from webconsole ets. Everything seems to be working however when I do Test Management Network from ESXi host I get error saying "Resolving hostname - failed. please see the attachement.

Please let me know if this is known issue.

Test Management Network failed to resolve hostname in ESXi 6.5
