How to configure windows DNS (internal) forwarding to bind DNS (external)
Hello!
Was wondering if anyone would be able to provide suggestions or steps on how to configure Windows DNS to forward any requests that it cant resolve to an external bind DNS server. we have site to site vpn to our data center which houses our production DNS server for our website and other production related tools.
Is this possible?

Well, basically any smaller business that has set up their domain controllers to use there ISPs DNS servers as forwards has done this, as most ISPs use bind (as did OpenDNS at one time.) So that's not your issue.
Time to fall back to network troubleshooting 101. Nslookup. Ping, tracert. Think of the VPN, routing, and firewall as suspect. Just for starters.
