How to mount nfs share on this CentOS server?
This is using centOS 5.2 server. There is a nfs share located at Synology 4-bay NAS. The share path is 10.22.0.30:/volume1/linux. However, when I typed " mount 10.22.0.30:/volume1/linux /mnt/linuxbackup", I can't mount it with the following error:
Reason given by server: permissions denied
However, if I tried it on another redhat 6.x server, the mounting is successful. I remember I have set the "nfs permissions" to allow both hosts. I even tried this - mount -t nfs 10.22.0.30:/volume1/linux /mnt/linuxbackup, but still failed. What's went wrong, how to get it mounted?
Thanks in advance.

Arnold,
The Centos IP is explicitly allowed in the nas.

Hi Arnold,
You are right, I mistyped the IP address of centos 5. I verified the ip by typing "*", and then try to mount nfs on centos, and storage is connected.
After that, I see that the ip address is wrong. I type in this new ip in nfs permission, and mounting of nfs is successful.

Thanks for expert - Arnold in pointing out the error. After correcting it, and now, the nfs can be mounted without problem.
CentOS 5 is EOL in few months btw.
