convert Hyper-v vhd disk form IDE to SCSI
Hi, i have a virtual appliance on Hyper-v 2012, it has two disks attached on IDE connector.
My backup software doesn't work with IDE connector, so i have to change it to SCSI.
Can i do it? there's a procedure?

You should just be able to go into the settings and "Add Hardware" select SCSI Controller and move the disk from the IDE controller to the SCSI controller. With that said.. I've never actually been in a situation where I had to switch it, so I'm not 100% certain..

to boot you need a type 2 VM if using SCSI

Your backup software doesn't support IDE, where did you get that from? Very few of the backup systems out there have any idea about the underlying hardware, they only know about the file system which isn't any different on IDE or SCSI

Virtualization is the act of creating a virtual (rather than actual) version of something, including (but not limited to) a virtual computer hardware platform, operating system (OS), storage device, or computer network resources. Virtualization is usually the creation of a system that executes separate from the underlying hardware resources, or the creation of an entire desktop for systems located elsewhere, similar to thin clients.
