Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10 Professional Upgrade
Hello Experts,
Microsoft Windows upgraded my OS from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10 Professional about 6 months ago for free.
I have now purchased a new computer and re-installed Windows 7 Professional, however I'm no longer given the option to upgrade Windows 10 Professional.
Can someone let me know if Microsoft have just taken away the free offer to upgrade to Windows 10?
Cheers

The free offer was for a limited time and was heavily advertised as such. If the computer is new, you may be able to get windows 10 from the manufacturer. But if not, you legally have to buy windows 10 now. The free upgrade ended back in July.
The free upgrade offer ended about half an Year ago.
If you won't be using your old PC, and if you registered it via an m$ Account, you should be able to transfer the license to your new PC.
But I'm a little surprised you got a new PC with Windows 7. PC's with Windows 7 aren't normally sold anymore, you get them with Windows 10. If you want a new PC with Windows 7, you have to specifically order it that way, and the manufacturer would have to have Windows 7 licenses still.

Hi Rindi
TBH, I ordered the pic without any OS as I had windows 7 professional and I thought MS would upgrade me again to Windows 10. I didn't realise the offer had expired.

Actually if you use the media creation tool to burn an iso to a dvd or a bootable usb you can run an upgrade install that will still upgrade your key. I did this a week ago and it worked fine

As I mentioned, if you registered the old System with an m$ account, and you are decommissioning the old PC, you should be able move the license tot he new PC. At least that is how I understand m$'s licensing. But I have never needed to try it so I don't know if that really is true.
The Link below should help you moving the license to the new Hardware:

Normally if you buy a PC without an OS, you would want to install a non m$ OS, so why not go for a Linux Distro, which is OpenSource (and most are free, although donations are welcomed)?

It should be no secret that the free upgrade still works. Just do it, download the ISO as SCCMCanuck indicated and use it with your win7 key.
