How to submit record from external php form to a Sharepoint list?

If there is a form on an external php site with a few fields. I want this submission to go to a list in Sharepoint (2013) with the fields matching up, respectively.

Is there a way to do this with a formatted email? Your thoughts.

Where does email come in - why not post the form directly to the Sharepoint page?
Is there a way?  Probably, but it's not a question with an answer - it's more of a project.  You might want to create a project in E-E Gigs to get a fast solution.

I came across this solution as well.

To the guy who asked 'where does email come into play'. Sharepoint allows list updates via email, particularly easy to do with file attachments, seemed like another possible solution.
You can set up email-enabled lists and libraries, but these items are handled like files and you don't have specific control over metadata, i.e. the column values.  So one scenario is that you want users to be able to contribute documents to a document library without having to browse to SharePoint and upload.  The doc library can either strip the attachments from the email and discard the message (storing the files by sender or subject) or you can save the entire message including attachments.  With lists it works a little differently; each type of list has its own specific way of handling incoming emails.

The solution I suggested would let you explicitly set the column values for your new list item, which, since you're submitting a form, is what I assumed you wanted.
