Exchange 2007 stray Mailbox
Here is what I did:
Brought up a copy of an older DC, brought up a copy of Exchange 2007.
The Older DC did not have, lets call it "Tim" created in AD at that time.
The "Tim" mailbox in Exchange is not in the GUi anywhere (Disconnected or mailbox's)
When I run a get-mailboxstatisctics, I see "Tim" mailbox, and the GUID along with other properties.
My end result is I am trying to get into that mailbox, whether I create a New "Tim 2" account in AD and link that mailbox to the AD account.
I am sure there should be a way to link this mailbox with no ad information to an account.
I created a new AD account for Tim, and restarted Exchange but no luck trying to display it as a disconnected mailbox.

I have 2 databases of mailbox's, he resides on the second one
As far as I know what you're trying to do is not supported on 2007 .. what you have to do is to recover storage group to a recovered DB then restore Data to a new mailbox. see the below link.
Or the second choice is that you install 2013 to coexist with 2007 and then move the DB To it and use the connect-mailbox feature along ..
