O365, SIP domains
We have an on-prem exchange server, but our Skype for Business is hosted at microsoft, in the cloud.
Our problem is that users are created in AD with a special attribute added to the msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddres s field. So, when we create a user in AD, we add this attribute so that the user's skype for business will login automatically and the user does not have to do anything.
The problem is that when we do this, it prevents the users from being provisioned in Skype for Business. See this article:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3063407/new-office-365-users-are-not-provisioned-for-skype-for-business-online
The hint in the article is that the SIP domain needs to be verified with Microsoft. The thing is, the SIP domain is the same as our primary domain and the primary domain is already verified with MS.
So, my question is, is there another spot in the O365 portal where I need to verify the SIP domain separately from the primary domain?
Thanks.

Is the domain configured for use with SfB Online, the so-called domain intent/capabilities? I.e. is it visible under the Organization domains section in the SfBO Admin portal?

Yes. It's working, the sfb is working except when we pre populate the attribute.
