DHCP Server not issuing IP Address

Hi,

It seems that my windows DHCP server suddenly stops giving out IP Address.  All workstations that are already in the network don't have have problems at all but for new computers and laptops all I get is APIPA.  for mobile devices it is just stuck in obtaining IP address but was unable to obtain one.

I tried restarting the server, tried re-starting the DHCP server but still no luck.

any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks.

is there any specific part that I need to check on the event log and on the DNS settings?
what are the DHCP statistics says?
Are there any bad addresses in dhcp pool?

Check whether the server is authorize to release the IP addresses from DHCP snap in.
check the DHCP server service and DHCP client service status on server,, they must be in running state.
Shot in the dark but are you allowing access to the network by MAC address? Or some sort of filtering?
restart the dhcp server, sometimes it stop for no apparent reason
