Different resolutions on extended monitors
Hi,
I have seven users each using two extended monitors.
Four users have matching resolution on both monitors but three users have different resolutions on their monitors.
Four users have 1920x1080 (perfect resolution) on both their monitors.
Three users have 1920x1080 on one monitor (perfect resolution) and 1680x1050 or 1680x900 on the other monitor (bad resolution)
I have tried the solutions in various forums but none of them work.
Please help.

Upgrade the displays so they all have 1920x1080.

Upgrade the displays?
They are all the same model as the four working ones. I have updated the drivers too.

Then possibly your GPU's don't support this.
Does your display running at 1680x1050/900 support 1920x1080?
Have you checked your display properties and "List All Modes"?

No I haven't tried installing the specific INF for the monitors.
I didn't do that for the four users who have good resolution on both monitors.
I could try it for the three monitors that have different resolution.
All seven users use the onboard VGA port for one monitor and a USB VGA adapter for the other monitor.
All PC models are the same.

If you switch cables at the video card, does the problem follow the cable?
Don't the PC's have more than one internal output for displays? many PC's have a VGA, DVI and HDMI output. Normally there is no need to use a USB display Adapter.

The PC's have HDMI but the monitors don't.

I will swap the cables around in about 30 minutes and let you know the result

Thanks. Do you think these HDMI to VGA adapters would give me better resolution?
Probably. I don't have any experience with the USB Video adapters you are currently using, but I can well imagine that there can be issues with them. I've on the other hand had no issues with using converters that just convert the video output to another connector.

Great news.
The HDMI-VGA adapters worked. I now have 1920x1080 resolution on both monitors for all users. Many Thanks.

Many Thanks!
They would also be a lot cheaper than your USB video Adapters were!
