Basic Configuration of CISCO WLC 4402
I'm setting up a CISCO WLC 4402 and testing connectivity with one LAP1142N-A-K9 access point. The AP is discovered by the controller and picks up an IP address, but shortly thereafter it cycles through green, red, yellow and drops from the ALL AP screen. After a minute or two, it turns solid green, joins the WLC again, and repeats the process. This is the first time I've setup a WLC, so admittedly I'm struggling somewhat. There are a ton of config options, many of which I've seen before. I'm looking for a basic setup that I can explore and build upon. Any help would be useful.
When the AP joins the controller, what state is it in? Look at the Wireless tab, you should see the AP say something like "REG" or "Downloading".

It looks like it wipes out the setting each time it reboots. I've plugged in some dummy info in a text field, and when the devices comes back online that info is wiped out and it's back to its original settings.
What version of code do you have on the WLC?
If you're getting the AP to join there's no reason why the AP would continually reboot and lose its settings.
