Migrating OnPremise Exchange 2010 & 2013 to Office 365 with no downtime to users & email flow ?

Hi All,

I've got the On-Premise Exchange Server 2010 that I need to migrate to Office 365, so I wonder what are the steps that I need to take care and what public facing DNS or change that I need to handle first to ensure a smooth transition of email flow with no downtime ?

Note: I assume the steps are the same for Exchange 2013 as well ?

If you want *no* downtime then you are looking at some substantial configuration. A hybrid deployment with connectors and significant testing. Not a concise one paragraph step by step.

OK, so in order to setup the hybrid config what do I need to prepare ?

Just use Exchange deployment assistant tool. That is enough to answer most of your queries. Also, It depends on your user base. Till 2000 you can go with cut over, else go with hybrid.

OK,

Do i still have to keep the CAS server on premise when the mailbox has been successfully migrated to Office 365 ?

Or shall I just keep the Network load balancer URL in house ?
Is there any update?
Thanks !
