Quickbooks sends emails from the incorrect email account regardless of settings
QuickBooks 2013 sending emails from an exchange account rather than the IMAP account that is both set as the default in Outlook 2013 and as the email account to use from QuickBooks. This happens regardless of settings changes made and restarts.
Try a newer version of QuickBooks. V2013 came out in 2012 and preceded Office 2013. Try a newer version and I think it should work.

Sorry John, that was a typo. Outlook is 2016, QuickBooks is 2016
IMAP is an incoming access point to email, SMTP is the outgoing. Double check your settings dealing how emails are triggered what profile is being used and what the profike reflects as the email address.
The main question then is how the email is created and what generates it? What is the email?
Is the process that generates the email located?
Is it using the quickbook's service account as the outgoing email? This means that quickbooks and exchange use Windows integrated authentication .........

I will attempt that solution. The confusing part is it has worked for years and has only changed when we had to add an Exchange account to Outlook.

Changing the settings in QuickBooks to Webmail did resolve the issue. Thank you John.
QB used to use only Outlook including Exchange. Then QB changed to allow other methods. So please try as suggested and let us know. Thanks.
Thanks again and I was happy to help.
