Remote Desktop Support Tools Like "Go to MY PC", etc

It seems that "go to my pc" is now a paid  monthly service.
Are there any free tools that I can use to provide remote pc support (I..e logging into someone else's pc to give them a tutorial, or to troubleshoot.

Hi John Hurst:
If I use Remote Desktop connection, I believe the pc I'm controlling will show a logged off screen. I WANT the other pc to see what I'm doing. I also want the other pc to occasionally take over mouse and keyboard actions.
Then you need one of the tools mentioned above. I had thought you just wanted access.
Teamviwer is best when dealing with non-techie person and have all the tools you need, VNC will work but you need the other person to forward ports in their firewall, and that can be frustrating if the person do not know what a router is
