Decommisioning Exchange 2010, what should I backup.

We've migrated to o365 (via cutover migration). All the data is there and we have been working for a week with our local exchange shutdown. No issues. So now it is time to remove exchange from our domain.  The odds of me ever needing any data on it are slim to none since it all sync'd, but as a paranoid IT guy better safe than sorry.

So the question is what should I backup up before I flip the switch. Would just a dismount and grab the EDB files be enough. Or should I take the time and export every mailbox to PST.  There are 100 or so mailboxes.  I'm leaning toward just the EDB's as I have a copy of Lepide's Exchange Recovery software (used to mount EDB and export to PST).  For true ease PST would be faster and more portable, I guess but given the very low odds of needing it is it worth it.

What would you guys do?

Yah I think I'll just grab the EDB's simple fast, never gonna use it. It would only be used if for some reason there was a failure to sync in the logs that I didn't catch (and there wasn't), so chances are really slim this would ever come up. But the devil on my shoulder always wants to error on the side of caution. So since that is the case no need to take hours exporting to PST for a scenario that will virtually never happen.
