Mac OSX Mail client and Exchange

Hi

We have a number of corporate owned Mac devices. We use MS Exchange 2010 for our mail, and connecting these to our Windows clients is fine using Outlook, however we ask our Mac users to use Citrix.

Does anyone know if the native Mac client supports Exchange connectivity? I recall back in the day it didn't and we needed to use Entourage.

My personal experience with any of the mail clients on OSX  that connect to Exchange is that the sync is not timely and if you are off the network for an extended period of time the delay is a turn off.  Nothing like Active sync on iOS our Outlook

Ill second toms response, we use outlook for mac and it works a treat, the latest offering gives a feature set nearly on par with the windows version
Does the newest build offer Online Mode?  That is the one thing I think the Mac version was lacking.
